Mission Statement

The TCU Foundation’s mission is to support the mission of Tokyo Christian University in educating Christian workers who serve church and society in Japan and beyond.

About Us

The TCU Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity established to support Tokyo Christian University’s (TCU; 東京基督教大学) educational and research programs. TCU, which rests in a park-like setting and “green zone” city between Narita International Airport and downtown Tokyo, is committed to the evangelical principles of historical Christianity, inter-denominational collaboration, practical theological education, and a missional outlook that is both local and global.

Through its endowment and charitable giving, the TCU Foundation supports grants and scholarships to TCU students (both Japanese and international), as well as grants to support faculty and staff development; donates towards TCU’s construction and renovation projects; assists TCU faculty and staff with the recruitment of students and supports activities of TCU alumni in North and South America.
